PLEASE HELP! Urgent question about maintaining my status in Canada

Dear all,

My open work permit is gonna expire on 6 Apr 2018 and meanwhile I have already applied for PR ( inland spousal sponsorship) along with an Open Work Permit in February.
I received acknowledgement from CIC that my PR application is being processed.
Also, in early March I have applied online to extend my stay as a visitor (which I still have not heard anything from them yet other than an acknowledge of receipt)
However, few days ago CIC returned my Open Work Permit due to insufficient processing fees.
So I'm now a bit confused what I should do next. Am I still on implied status? Do I have to apply for restoration after 6 Apr 2018?

Hi

You still have valid status as a worker. Just re-submit the OWP app ASAP with the correct fees.
