Hi All,

I was once refused a visitors visa to canada, is it necessary to declare it in the TRV form? I'm worried that this might cause a problem

what do you think guys????

thanks

Yes you need to tick the box where it says have you even been refused entry to canada or any other country. You can provide the previous application nr in the box

Yes, you MUST declare it.

Not disclosing previous visa refusal(s).... for any country, including Canada.... may result in a 5-years ban for misrepresentation

Thank you bryanna and hani,

I was refused because of my immigration status according to the letter. (im a filipino nurse here in KSA for work). how can i prove them my immigration status?

Did you submit your work visa in your first application?
That reason for refusal is usually because you have temporary status in the country you're applying from. It happens quite frequently.

No, I didn't. I only sent my Resident card. Will our HR have it?

Oh OK, I believe that's enough proof of your immigration status in KSA, but it seems Canada interprets this as a skilled worker being more likely to want to settle in Canada permanently.

So my resident card is enough as proof of my immigration status? Our resident card is in arabic and my agent didn't bother to have it translated before he applied for my TRV, will that be a reason for the refusal?

Oh ok then that may be part of the issue.

bellaluna, is there any other docs that i can present to prove my immigration status?

Not familiar with KSA statuses but provide them with English translations.
