Please help!!! only 6 months of validity Pakistani passport

I am a pakistani passport holder and have valid PR card. Can you please let me know that my booking will be in Feb 2015 and my passport expires on end of August 2015, it is mean that i have only 4 month valid passport to travel to pakistan and come back to Canada in April or May 2015?. Can I travel with 4 month passport validity? Because the someone told us you must have 6 month valid passport before you travel.

For both US and Canada do not require minimum periods of Validity. Here check this website

SInce you are a PR, you can always go to Canada, go to the pakistan embassy and request for a new passport if it is expiring. But you dont need to if you are staying less than the time your passport will expire in.
