Hi all. my university is in victoria....im searching for flights from 5 days but every flight is fully booked...Now im happy with etihad airways..My classes starts on 4 sep but i got flight of 14 sep. LHE to Toronto. Please let me know if immigration officers ask me on airport that ur classes are on 4 sep and ur landing in toronto on 14 sep?? How can i explain why im late Need ur help guys

Just Tell them that you got your visa late and there were no flights available.

missing class is not advisable ......i think its ok if u miss first class but missing 2 classes puts u behind ....classes r very important here as all ur test and assignments come from whatever is taught in class mostly...... u can look for a flight within first week of college start date....i personally feel 10 days is too late but choice is urs

There are many seats available. They may not be a great price because you are booking so late - but there are many seat available.

I suggest you do a thorough search as you have good flight options right from 5th sep. Even I'll be missing 2 days of my classes as I'm starting only on 6th evening; but missing 8 days is something to be looked upon seriouslly. U can't afford to miss so much U have many flights at an affordable price from Delhi. watch out closely . Good luck bro!

Dn't worry.. most of us r first time travellers to Western Hemisphere Everything ll be alright and you will get to know things. It's like an adventure and you get to learn so much. Trust me , it's going to be fun. In deed I'm nervous too as its my first time West!

Thanks divya but i am from Pakistan some flights go but krom Karachi which is 2 hrs by plane.Would be expensive and risky to catch the next flight. I hope i find pia which is direct to toronto on 27th or 3rd.Everywhere its fully booked but having still a little hope for that

i am confused u want to go to toronto but ur university is in victoria BC? ur already late why do u want to make a stop at toronto? if u want to visit someone u can do it later first go to ur university and start classes 10 days is too late in my opinion. unless ur a very good student who can make up for lost classes i suggest u not to miss classes.

Agree with the others that 14th is a lot of class time to miss. Added to which there is jet lag and finding your bearings once you arrive. Toronto is a long way from Victoria. I don't know if you can get direct flights from TO to Victoria but most probably Vancouver then Victoria so that could easily take 4-6 more hours. Had you thought of coming the other way around or over the top from Russia?

And don't forget if the cost of your flight is from home to Toronto, the additional fare to fly across Canada is going to add a lot more to that. Sorry.
