Hiii everyone it's manpreet.
I reached canada on study base on 26 april and my course is mobile solutions development(conestoga college). It is a pg program.
I want to change my course and college. I wanna join sheridan college for ug diploma (computer system technician- software engineering) which is available for sept intake. So please tell me is it possible to change study level from pg to ug diploma. Would it effect on my PR and Work permit chances.
Also tell me the procedure to change it. How to withdraw my fees.
My classes are going to start on 11 may.

Yes , you can change your course and college . You are good to go with this course with your studies .
But ' after changing your course and college , you should inform to cic about the change by calling them directly or through your my cic account .

In this procedure , At first you should go to sheridan college in person and apply for this course . You will get a offer letter within 3-4 days . Or you can apply from ontariocolleges.ca or sheridan's website directly . if you can't reach there .

After that you should go to your first college and show them the offer letter from sheridan and provide them a reason that you want to change college . They will send you a cheque of your total tution fee within 20-25 days at your home address .


Informing CIC about college change isn't taken seriously by students . I don't know if it is mandiatory or not . But i have seen many cases in which they question to students at the time of re-entry to Canda that why you didn't informed us.

I have a query too...
I applied to a PG program (Strategic Relationship Marketing) at George Brown College (for Sept intake) on 10th March.
I got an email from the college on 15th April asking me to upload my 10th and 12 transcripts (a requirement that wasn't mentioned earlier - i was informed to upload my 3 years college/university degree or diploma, IELTS score, and my CV).
Anyways, I uploaded my 10th and 12th transcripts the very next day.

I have been following up with them since then, and was told that they need 3 - 4 weeks to review applications and then come to a decision.

A few days ago I checked my online application, the "Application Progress" has been changed to COMPLETE from SUBMITTED.

I am a little confused at the moment, does this mean that now finally my application is complete and they will start processing it, OR does it mean that they have processed my application already?
Either way, I haven't received any email from them.

IELTS score 8 (7.5+ in all the modules)

GBC is the only college I have applied to, so a little nervous at the moment...
would appreciate your feedback...

As you know , GBC is a popular college and there's heavy rush . Sometimes it takes long when application gets stuck in these kind of situations .

I suggest you to call the college directly and know what's going on . Or you can look for a representative of that college in your home country from their website . He will surely help you if your application took more time than they have menioned .

I may sound a little anxious, but it's only because I haven't applied anywhere else...all this wait is just making me nervous.

You can change to any College.

But you will loose part of your Fee's paid to your current Institution so it can be expensive in BC it's 30% of Total Tuition withheld.

Why change to a general Computer Science course when the whole world is Mobile?
