Hi all,,

I'm Indonesian and my educational backgruond is Diploma but without any experience and certificate(unskilled worker). I really want to work in Canada but my english not to fluent both in oral and written.

I read before about temporary work permit. Does anyone know how to get a temporary work permit?? because I'm a little bit confuse. its says that u must accepted first from the company in canada. but when I search for a job, there's a notice says i must get a work permit if i want to work in canada. Which one is true?? getting a job first or get a work permit first???

thanks for the concern..... ;D

You need to get a job first.

First you must find an employer who is willing to hire you and give you a job offer. That employer must then obtain an approved Labour Market Opinion. Then you can apply for a temporary work permit.

The reason why many job postings say that you must get a work permit before they will consider you for the job is because those employers don't want to go through the process of obtaining an approved Labour Market Opinion and only want people to apply who can already legally work in Canada.

Unfortunately it's quite difficult to find an employer who is willing to go through the Labour Market Opinion process to hire a foreign worker. But you can certainly keep looking and hopefully you'll get lucky.
