Hi

I am applying under CEC and I am working as a medical receptionist beacause I have completed my post secondary dilpoma in Medical Office Admin program? I am just wondering if anyone could help me if I come under A or B category and whats the code ? I am confused between 1241 and 1411.

Thanks

Re: NOC Code for medical receptionist?

The difference between 1241 and 1411 is difficult for applicants to prove,

But medical receptionist comes under 1414:

Neither, level C

Re: NOC Code for medical receptionist?

Sorry, I assumed you were asking because you knew that 1241 was skill level B (and qualifies) vs. 1411 (Skill Level C, does not qualify).

1414 does not qualify either, sorry.

FYI, here's how you can find the skill level -

Re: NOC Code for medical receptionist?

Hi

What if I use Office administrative assistant- medical? It will be considered B, if I am not wrong? I am so confused . That means I am not eligible to apply for CeC then , if my job doesnt come under 0,a or b?

Yes, it is skill level B.... your main duties should be consistent with the NOC code to be successful.

Medical admin assistant code is 1243 .. i hope it is skill b?

just to be very clear, there is no "skill b" job description. The job duties described in your Letter of Reference will have to match the duties/responsibilities of NOC 1243 (not verbatim), the "qualifications" are not used by CEC in determining your NOC.

If your duties also match the lower NOC (1414), though, CIC might still evaluate your job experience as unskilled. So you will have to be very careful about the job duties in the letter of reference.

Hey

Thanks for the reply .. I did check the responsibilities of NOC 1243 and all the duties actually match with what I am doing right now... So what do you think now?
