I am a permanent resident of Canada and a foreign transgender.
Life is very uncomfortable because my documents and gender do not match.
But I can not find anyone like me and I can not get help anywhere.
I heard that in Canada, permanent residents can change the gender of their documents.
If I change my gender in Canada, should I tell my country?
And can I fly an airplane if my document is of a different gender?
Can someone tell me this?
I'm eager .. Please.

Your question is answered on the IRCC web site (see the link below). You will need to change your gender on your home country passport first. Then you will be able to change the gender on your PR card.

Thank you, scylla.
But my country does not change sex without surgery.
I heard that Canadian permanent resident is able to do that.
So I was curious.
It is possible to change the gender of my passport without reporting to my country.

You can change your gender on your PR card, But once again, you cannot do this until you change the gender on your home country passport first.

To change the gender on your home country, you will of course have to notify your home country so that this change can be made. Only your home country can make this change and issue you a new passport. Canada cannot change your home country passport.

Permanent Resident Card
You can apply for a new PR card.

You will need to provide documents to support your application.

If you want to change the sex on your PR Card without changing the sex on your foreign passport, submit the form: Request for new Permanent Resident Card indicating sex designation other than sex shown on foreign travel document

Thank you, scylla, zardoz!!
I am not good at English yet. So I needed confirmation.
So, can I change only the sex of the PR card without changing my passport? Right?
If so, thank you very much !!!
Thank you for giving me your time. Thank you very much.
