Hi,
Please help information regarding Add my newborn child information in my wife case.
I just sponsor my wife from outside canada just couple of month before .
Now she become mother and delivered a baby girl last week.
Now i request all of you kinldy advise me step by step procedure,and details of all forms i need to submit
to CIC to add information regarding my newborn child in my wife sponsorship case which is already in process.

Congrats on the arrival of a new baby!

Are you a PR or a citizen? If you're a citizen, you can inform your VO about the birth of the baby and request to CIC the certificate of citizenship, as your daughter will already be canadian.

If you're a PR, your baby needs to be added to your application. Download the outland sponsorship package (same as previously), and every form that asks about information about dependent, add the info about the baby. Ask your wife to get a passport for the baby, and add a copy of the passport to the application, and send everything to the VO, so that the baby can be given PR at the same time as the mother.

I am On PR and my passport in process waiting for my oath ceromony.
Can it is possible i submit form without baby passport because it will take to much time in our country,
when it will be done i will send it later?
Can you tell me how much fees i need to pay with baby form?

I don't think you can't submit forms without the baby's passport. If it takes long for the mother to get it, write a letter to CIC announcing the birth of the baby and explain why the documents regarding the baby will be sent at a later time.

You will have to pay 150 CAD.

indeed - that's the way to do it. It's important to let the VO know right away about your baby, because you don't want them to issue the PR without one for the baby. And having a baby together serves also as a proof of relationship (it's not enough to be considered a genuine couple, but it helps of course!).

Now i am aware what i need to do.
First of all i will write letter VO(Visa Officer),VO mean visa officer.

It is better to send letter by mail or courier ?

I have plan to travel my mother country next month to see my baby and during stay i will
try to prepare passport, birth certificate and Identity card from her mother country.

My friend, if you feel comfortable can you tell me the name and # of dependant form which i need to submit with baby passport, birth certificate and Identity card .
Do you have VO(visa officer) e-mail address where i need to send letter.

I just gave birth last june. My husband (the sponsor) informed the CIC through email. They respond to his email requesting some forms to comply. Im the one who filled out the forms and sent it to my husband. We both signed the forms. A week after my husband sent the requirements to mississauga, they sent a letter to him saying that theyre going to forward to the visa office in manila to inform about the updates.

I filled out the forms IMM0008 again then add dependent to the form and then signed it. I alsofilled out the undertaking form. We also included the payment $75 when we sent the forms.

I get a passport to my baby which will be release on sept 25. And Im planning to undergo a medical for my baby this week. I wonder if Im going to send it and where to? Or i will wait them to ask about it.

1. Send the birth certificate (copy) to the visa office and wait for them to contact you (they asked me for the processing fee 150$, updated IMM0008, updated Family Information IMM5406, photocopy of baby's passport, 4 recent pictures of the baby, medicals).

2. Ask Mississauga for the sponsorship amendment (they asked for other processing fee 150$, undertaking form with the baby as principal applicant, updated IMM0008 with the baby as acompanying dependent child-class A), we also sent copy of passport and birth certificate) - write "add-on" on envelope and forms

Once the visa office is informed they will ask for the medical, you will receive a separate email. It was 125$ and they just checked the baby, listened to its hearts and lungs

Hi I am in the same situation i have sent all the required document to the Visa office and also sent all the documents to Mississauga for sponsorship amendment.

I got a confirmation letter from Mississauga that my sponsorship to add the child to my wife's application has been approved and the file is transferred to Visa office.

The Visa office so far has not requested passport of my child and its been more than 3 months, Not sure shall i send the passport with them requesting for it

what was your experience how long you waited till the visa office contacted you for your baby's passport ?
