Hi guyz,
My brother is preparing for express entry FSW application. He is married and wants to be the principal applicant. So I was wondering, that both the husband and wife has to give the IELTS exam or just the principal applicant can give the IELTS exam and sponsor the spouse.

Need ur help guyz.
Thanks in advance.

If he wants points for his wife's language abilities then she needs to take IELTS too.

And if he doesn't want and wants to be as a single applicant, then is it possible for him to get the points in CRS which are for people without a spouse?

No - he has to apply as married.

He can state the spouse as unaccompanied in the application, to get points as singles. But I think family reunion is not an easy process as express entry
