Hi,

I'm on PGWP and have 1 year of Canadian work experience.
No other foreign experience.

On CIC Calculator:

i. In the last ten years, how many years of skilled work experience in Canada do you have?
I'm putting 1 year here.

ii. In the last 10 years, how many total years of skilled work experience do you have?

And what should I put here?? Zero or 1 year???

And I worked part-time on my off-campus work permit on NOC C. Does that experience count any way?

Please help. I'm not able to get right answer, even from immigration consultant.

Thank you!

Why would you put Zero for second question when you have one year of work experience?

The answer to both questions is 1 year.

Any work experience you gained during your studies cannot be counted.

I asked several consultant. Who told me to put zero for 2nd because it's only for foreign work experience. As I have none, I should put zero there.

And I have a sibling in Canada, who is a permanent resident. What documents do i need from her for those extra 15 points?

The consultants are correct, even though the stupid question doesn't specify it refers to foreign work experience only. If you put one there the the CRS calculator will calculate a year of Canadian work experience and a year of foreign work experience.

Google express entry intake to find out about the documents you need to claim those 15 points.

You need
1) proof that she is your sibling - e.g. scans of birth certificates for both of you showing your parents' names
2) proof that she is a PR - scan her PR card...

Thank you!

Can anyone else clarify the question about work experience.
Because again I got 2 different answers here too.

Thanks

@DelPiero07 is correct. I just tested the points by putting years of experience in both places. In second place if you put your one year it will give you points for foreign work experience. So you need to put zero there. You can test it yourself.
