Hi Everyone,

I want to apply for CEC according to new rules. I am in canada right now and have one year experience from September 2010 - August 2011. Also, I have ielts which is valid for another 3-4 months. Am i eligible to apply?? Please clarify and thanks in advance
 
What kind of job did you hold from Sept 2010 to Aug 2011? Was it skilled? Was it full time?
 
Yes, it was skilled. I worked as Marketing Executive in that company for full one year and on full time basis. Actually, I applied for my PR in Oct 2011 as FSW2 and since then I was not working due to some company's issue. Now, I have applied for LMO again which is pending result and FSW2 application is in process and I am worried if they enquire about employment, they can reject my case althought i have valid work permit till October this year. So,i wana apply for CEC just in case :(

For CEC, you have to have a minimum of one year of work experience. So if your experience is from 01 Sept 2010 - August 31, 2011, then yes, you would (just) meet the length of employment requirement. But if it is 15 Sept 2010-31 August 2011, then sadly you would not.
 
Yes, i have work experience since Sep 1st, 2010 - August 31st, 2011 for one year with no gap and on full time basis....I have another question that experience must be valid when you apply or it should be valid till the application is processed? Please reply so that i can apply asap for this

You should have met all the requirements as on the application date.
