Hi friends, I got acceptance in NAIT for fall 2015. I am going to apply for my visa, but in this process,to obtain GIC one must open an account in scotia bank and have to deposit $10,000 .My father is living in canada, So is it mandatory that the money that is to be deposited in scotia bank has to be transferred from my bank account in india or there is a provision for my father to deposit the amount into my account directly in canada??Please clarify my doubt friends. :-\ :-\ :-\

The funds must be wire transferred only from a bank in India where you hold your account (in your own name or jointly with your parent(s)) otherwise the money will be returned. Funds will be accepted only if the name of the sender and beneficiary (recipient) is the same (i.e. the Ordering Customer (name in field 50K on the wire transfer and Beneficiary Customer (name field 59 on the wire transfer form) is the same).
NOTE: Funds from other sources such as Money Exchange House, Money Transfer Services, and Third Party Services OR payments received from a third party (e.g. parents, relatives, friend, etc.)
