Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
I am working in Canada for 13 months now on a Closed TWP. I have my PR application under FSW with complete list of documents and ready to be mailed. But I want to seek advice of the experts on this forum about the new regulations expected to kick in on July 1st. Is it advisable for me to wait till then or should I just go ahead and mail my application now. Will it affect my application process timelines (slower or faster) if I mail on July 1st? If I apply before July 1st, would that mean I am ahead of the other FSW application that will be apply after July 1st or it does not matters?

My occupation comes under NOC list.

Also I read somewhere on the forum that it is expected that for Experience class category minimum experience required might be brought down to 12 months instead of current 24. Is it just a rumor or very much expected?

Thanks

There will be new annoucement tomorrow.

Based on new policy, u can apply.

A difficult call. Historically new applicants from 1st July tend to get priority over the prior applicants (just the way it works). But, on the flip side, it is expected there may be some changes to the points system from 1st July. So depending on how much you clear the 67 points by now, you may not necessarily be eligible to apply after 1st July.

Basically apply now, it may be a bit slower but you are currently eligible.

Wait until 1st July, you may enjoy a faster turnaround but likewise the changes to the points system COULD render you ineligible.

Since you are FSW2 you get +15 points currently for having a job offer. Therefore it's probably unlikely any changes to the points system would render you ineligible, so if I were you I'd be tempted to wait until 1st July.

But either way, it's your call.

Agree with Wayne,

Thanks for letting this know that Post July 1st applicant will receive priority processing.

I don't know for certain that they will. But only that new MI applicants have, historically, received priority processing.

Thanks Wayne, as you mentioned I have enough points cushion to cover if any changes are made. Are the new changes expected to be announce this week or it will be on July 1st?

If you are applying under FSW1 and your application reaches Sydney before the 1st of July, it will come back unopened. So it is your choice. How do you know your NOC is still on the list, until it is released?

Doh, of course, sorry.

The 10,000 cap has been reached, so no new applications will be considered until 1st July anyway.

With that in mind, may as well wait until stuff is announced on 1st July (or just before).

I have an arranged employment offer, does the 10000 cap still applies to me?

Can someone please confirm me on this. I have to make a decision today. Thanks.

No with an arranged employment offer the cap does not apply to you.

Therefore you could apply now if your application can reach CIC before 1st July.

However, with all the extra points your AOE will provide on your application, the points system if it changes is unlikely to change enough to deem you ineligible.

Have you calculated how many points you have under the current system?
