I received medical papers from CIC, but I’m not taking medical now because my wife is pregnant. My question is can I ask visa office to postpone our medical and if yes, what updated documents I need to submit at the time of next medical?

Send a letter or fax, stating that your wife is pregnant and you and her will have the medicals once the child is born. When the child is born, you have to amend your application, submit an IMM 008 for the child, the fee copy of the passport, and amend IMM 5406 and wait for medical instructions for the child.

if it is possible, the original poster could complete all his FSW procedures and land in Canada before the birth is due

Most physicians recommend that pregnant women do not have x-rays. It is their choice, but if it was my wife, I wouldn't recommend it.

so, just to clarify for other readers of this thread

the DMP manual indicates that pregnancy does not prevent you from completing the medical exam (I've just finished re-reading the whole damned document)

no doctor or radiologist will put a pregnant person in any danger

not conducting a medical exam for this reason is, as PMM suggests, a matter of personal choice

As per PMM’s advice, I faxed a letter to London CHC on 24/02/09 stating that my wife is pregnant, but not yet received any reply from them. My question is will they send any acceptance letter in this regards?

If you check, please guide me how you handled your case when you found your wife pregnant after getting medical/PRPR fees request.

First report about the pregnancy to your visa office by email and medical doctor will solve your every problems about medical test.

Hello dear

You made a mistake (i dont mean to discourage you). If you had gone through the guide you might be familiar with the statement that "In case any change happens in your life immediately inform the CIO or the concerned CHC".

Pregnancy till birth takes 9 months and you did not inform them but in any case its never too late you can inform them now.

Second thing, like pMM said physicians dont recommend X-rays for P women well my experience is different than this.
The same organization IOM is doing medicals in Pakistan for British Immigrants too and last year my wife was 7 months pregnant and no one said dont go for X rays rather they told us (as we ourselves were cautious) that there is a protective sheath which is meant especially for the pregnant women to undergo X-rays so i think that is not the issue.

First thing first, inform your CHC the situation and see what they say.
DOnt postpone rather postpone your decision of postponing till you get reply from your CHC
