Hi guys, I am a permanent resident and I applied for my family's tourist visa. I submitted their application online this month December 2017. I'm guessing their visa application will be routed to Philippine VO. Does anybody here applied for TRV? I wonder how long did yours take? Thanks

When I submitted my mom and aunt's applications, it took only a week. This is a paper application though. So their passports were together with the forms already. It was so quick!

Hi po mga kabayan. I applied for my parents TRV last March 6 2018 got refused March 16 due to ff. Reasons:

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at the end of your stay as a temporary resident. In reaching this decision, I considered several factors, including:

*Travel History

*Purpose of visit

*You have not provided sufficient documentation to support your / your host's income and assets.

Any suggestion gusto ko Sana i re apply.pwde na ba right away? If so ano kaya documentation From parents and sa sken ang kelangan? I submitted bank statement for 3 months and pay slips.
Then Wala naman travel history parents ko and sa purpose of visit ang nilagay ko lang is a letter ng plan nila pag andito na like tourism and pag visit nila sken. I hope matulungan nyo ako please and thanks Godbless po

What did you submit for purpose of visit and your/your parents' finances?

PS: I get that this is a thread for Filipino applicants, but I still strongly encourage posting in English because this is an international forum, and other forum members, even if not necessarily Filipino, can also help. All applicants are assessed on the same standards anyway.

Hi I’m sorry about that when I saw the thread I didn’t even realize that other can see and might help too. Thanks a lot for the reply.
For the purpose of visit : I just make a letter That my parents wanted to visit me and wanted to see the beauty of Canada and a narration of what a their plan while they were here.
For my finances: t4,me and my husband bank staments for 3 months, payslips, employment cert.
For my parents : they submitted bank stament worth $2,000 only, tax declaration, proof of ownership of car. My mom payslip because she’s still working while my dad’s retirement order.
Thanks a lot in advance and have a great day

Great.
To answer your previous question, you can reapply right away after a refusal.

Based on what you had submitted and the reasons of refusal, I would suggest also providing a daily plan and budget, also including estimated airfare costs (no need to book a ticket).... Because $2000 is already the cost of airfare for the two of them.

Also, how long a visit did you request for them? It's generally recommended to keep it to just 2-3 weeks at most.

The rule of thumb is to show funds of at the very least $1000 per week per person plus airfare.... So, perhaps you and your husband have to show at least $6000 of funds for a two-week stay.

Thanks for the prompt reply
I applied for four months is it ok for my re application to change it to 2 to 3 weeks instead? Do I need to add more documents like in the reason travel history because they don’t have any travel history. So I will just make all the application as is except for the length of stay I ll make it just 3 weeks instead. Anymore suggestions? Thanks again

Oh, okay, the four month stay without travel history explains it then.
Yes, I do recommend shortening it to three weeks, and adding a daily budget and itinerary for their three-week stay.
If you can think of adding something else like assets or additional proof of finances from your side, that may also help.

Hi there, so I will shouldering my parents ticket I include that to my letter, so you said on my side What else assets do I need to send them. Previously I send copy of land title of our purchased house, bank statements and payslips, t4 only but I didn’t include any Notice of assessment because, we’re not done yet with our tax report computation. Do you think when we re apply include the NOA for 2016 or wait for the latest one 2017 NOA. Thanks

No need for NOA. Liquid assets are more important.
