I keep seeing all these posts about sending in pics with your passport. What about the pics you sent with the application? You need to send even more pics in with the passport too? Are they making a yearbook?

I don't know what they do with all those pics! But yes you have to send more with your passport.

so you have to send 8pictures with your application, 5 to medicals and then when they ask the passport, you will send pictures again :O

im confused....or just blonde and dont understand :D

Lol. Wish I knew. Are the pictures to be sent in with the passport have the same dimension requirements as the ones sent in with the application?

how many pictures do you need to send in with your application

Hey guys,

My husband was contacted 3 days ago to send 2 pictures (45 x 35 mm, white background) along with his passport.
That is alot of pictures lol, your guess is as good as mine as to what they do with all of them :p

On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday they scan in the photos.
On Thursday they load up photoshop and make photo mosaics.
On Friday they process an application or two, maybe.

;)

I think the pictures go on every section of the application package you filled out for CIC. Plus, when they request more upon PPR they use them on your file for filing purposes as well as for identification purposes on the Visa Approval form. I guess too there is one on the COPR? How about the landing package? There must be a few pictures in there too for CIC to process the PR Card.

I guess when you add up all the pictures none seem to go to waste :s or I may be wrong here 8-)

CIC surely knows of a simple way to document the people they let into Canada properly. With all them pictures I am sure you can't run and try to hide without being caught. LOL

Lol :p

I know at least two went on my doctors notes, one went on my xrays, one was used for the actual file and i believe one for the PR Card and one for the visa..so thats 6, no idea about the rest? Maybe theyre for the case workers, n they secretly have a big book of all the ppl theyve ever processed >.>

But yes its like 8 for the application overall and 2 for the PPR i believe, it does seem a little excessive

I think it depends on the visa office that you're dealing with. My husband was never asked to send additional photos with his passport.

Maybe I'm just overtired but this made me laugh like a donkey on high speed! :D

Nah, once a week they stuff the applications into envelopes. They toss those envelopes out the window and any that fall within a circle on the ground get their PPRs.. And the ones that hit the building have to come in for interviews.. ???

BTW Brit, I had to borrow your comment for my signature.. Now to clean up the chili that is all over my screen.. Hope you don't mind but that quote HAD to go on my Facebook page.. ;D ??? :o

They didnt ask for additional pics when my husband got his PPR. They just asks for the passport and that was it. Hope they dont ask for pics later and delay everything. :( getting worried
