Hi Again
Being a PR, I was wondering if it is necessary to be physically in Canada during the application process?

I know u have to be there to start/send the application, but how about during the process.

Can u go back to ur wife and come back when she wants to land?

Does the Immigration call u to check If u r there?

Has anybody received any calls during the process from them( except for the visa-pick up call )

CIC states that one can only sponsor outside Canada if you are a citizen.

You may leave of course for short periods but you must (in my interpretation) remain as a resident, that is you must have permanent ties such as home, job or funds in Canada.
