Hi everyone,

I applied as a refugee claimant in July 2017 and I got my court decision in April 2018. I also had a work permit on March 2018. My question is that would my temporary resident as a worker be considered for the citizenship? Because I had two status one refugee claimant and another workers permit as a temporary resident.

Please help answer this question.
Thank you!

You can count the time from the point you became a recognized refugee. Time prior to that, even with the work permit, you didn’t have status in Canada. You were still a refugee claimant.
