Dear Seniors,

Sorry if these questions have already been answered.

1- For Physical presence calc., I get this error for time under temporary visit as below even though I put in correct dates:

"
  • You have not completed all mandatory fields (*) or they have not been entered correctly. Please make the necessary corrections.
"

Any idea what is wrong?

2- Do I list absence after PR landing only or include before upto 5 years, if include do I include only from 1st step in Canada with TRV visa or all the way to 5 years?

3- For police certificate for the absences before PR, can I use the same police certificate I used to apply for PR or do I have to apply a brand new one?

Thank you.

1. Difficult to say without seeing a screen print, you may need to share a picture of all field,
2. If you visited Canada during your eligibility period on TRV, you need to list all your absences before landing and after landing.
3. You will need to find out if you need to submit one first. Always check the application guideline for more important information you may miss.

You need to provide a police certificate from each country, other than Canada if you were there
  • in the past 4 years
  • for 183 days or more in a row
  • since the age of 18
Indicate in the chart the name of each country and provide a police certificate.

You don’t need to provide a police certificate if

  • you were in your country of origin immediately prior to becoming a permanent resident and landing in Canada, and
  • this time falls within the past 4 years
If you can’t get a police certificate, tell us why in the explanation box.

Good Luck!
