Dear folks,

I received my ATIP via email today. Overall, seems CIC has not yet started working on my application but I am totally happy as long as my application has never been returned since 2014-Aug.

My ATIP report as below. **I actually entered to Canada 2010/Nov/01 as a visitor and stated on my application with 1098 physical presence days **

RESIDENCE
Entry to Canada: 2012/Jan/12
Became PR On: 2012/Jan/12
Total Days Absent:
Basic Residence:956
Physical Presence:906

1) Is the above physical presence(906 days) acceptable or CIC has to wait for my CBSA record to prove that I first entered to Canada as a visitor in 2010?
2) Should I contact CIC to inform my actual entry to Canada is incorrect based on above ATPI record?
3) Any inputs will be greatly appreciated.

Best,

When did u become a PR ?

Best,

Were you living in Canada between 2010/Nov/01 (date you entered as a visitor) and 2012/Jan/12 (date of permanent residence)?

Yes, I lived in Canada from 2010/Nov/01 to 2012/Jan/11 as a visitor. I had 51 days not living in Canada (ABSENT) visiting to family member my home country.

My resident calculator clearly shows 1,098 day presence (already subtracted 51 days before became PR, 50 days travel to Cuba and Mexico after became PR)

--My question is why on ATIP record show
Basic Residence:956
Physical Presence:906

You're counting the days before you became PR as only 1/2 days towards the citizenship requirement (not full days) - correct?

Yes, I counted half (1/2) the days before became PR.

Here's my guess as to what happened:

There is no record of your entry as a visitor in CIC systems. CBSA probably does so the CBSA report would definitely help. Do you have an entry stamp in your passport for the 2010/Nov/01 date?

Yes, 01/Nov/2010 has stamped on my passport. I did color copy included with my application.
Thanks.

with ATIP cic also sends a form to correct any mistake, I would suggest fill out the form with correct days of physical presence and send that to cic asap. you can also attach another residence calculation form with that.

Thanks moti,
Where do I get the form to correct? 19 pages of report I have received by email.pdf.

Please check the following link, however i am not sure if it is the right one. Any inputs from other forum members might help:

Even though your application processing has not started yet, its upto you whether you would like to get it corrected right now or later when CIC asks you for any documentary proof

thecoolguysam,
I just mailed explaintory letters to both CIC and ATIP coordinator informing the incorrect entry date in ATIP record I have received. I also attached a photocopy of my visitor visa and its date stamp. To be honest I believed I will soon get RQs for sure because before I bacame PR I lived in Canada with implied status as a visitor and did extended but never got any thing back from CIC meanwhile my PR was approved first.

I understand. I wish you all the best for successful completion of your citizenship application.
