Hi there,

I am in the process of a spousal family application with my canadian husband when i came across the section of a checklist (country specific guide for Japanese applicants) under "photos" that got me confused. it says "Supply nine (9) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself (accompanying and non-accompanying)." Does this mean that i have to submit photos of my parents, brother and sister even though they are not participants in the application? Or does non-accompanying only apply to non-accompanying dependant? (which i do not have)

answers would be highly appreciated! thank you in advance:)

I have a related question. I'm sponsoring my husband and we have one dependent but she's a Canadian citizen. Do I have to include our daughter's photos with our application?

We also have a Canadian citizen daughter by birth that is 11 months old. I included a copy of her Canadian passport that has her picture in it. And of course a bunch of family photos with my wife and daughter in them.

Mrs. Mekeni...
Of course your daughter does not require the photos. She's already a Canadian citizen. Assuming that she was born in Canada... which should mean that her paperwork was already done with, including a passport.
However, if you are referring to her as a Canadian citizen when she is born outside Canada and assuming she is a Canadian citizen by parents, then she is NATURALIZED Canadian citizen. She will need her passport and birth certificate done through the Canadian embassy in whichever country she may be in. Then and only then she will be able to travel as a Canadian citizen
