I am wondering if I need to send actual photos or can I photocopy or print the photos on paper?
We are sending our paperwork in this week and I just would rather not go out and spend even more money
on copys of photos , especially since some are very big 8 x 10 from a Marine Ball we attended and our wedding photos are large as well.

Any help on this would be appreciated.. I just want to get it right the first time.

Thanks so much for any help.

If you're sending your application off, then you only need to supply copies. I created a compilation of photos on a word document (it was about 15 pages) with 2 photos on each page with captions of where the photo was taken, who's in the photo and when it was taken. All the photos were in chronological order.

Hope this helps

That really helps alot , thanks so much for such a quick response. I think we are ready to send our Outland application in , just gotta photocopy some more docs and Meds were done upfront
and FBI search was already filed and just waiting on that but it takes a while and we are adding that we will send in that as soon as it arrives.

Thanks again :)

The only thing about photocopies of photos is that the ink is much more expensive than getting photos printed at a photocenter. Considering the overall cost of applying, we chose to go with actual photos printed (4x6) with captions handwritten on the back of the photos. But, then again, we submitted a lot of pics, may be too many :)

I think in walmart you get pics for 18 cents a piece for one hour service. So, thats about 5 pics for a $1. Its much cheaper than printing out pics on paper, and they look better!

We just made a word document of our digital images (since we have none printed out), it cost me about $0.50 a page, so about $10.00 in total for twenty odd pages, which seemed fine to me. It also meant that my overly obsessive part of my mind was happy because all of my documents were cleanly on A04 paper and nothing was a weird shape that stuck out or anything :p

We also photocopied all of our correspondence and cards, there's no way I'm risking them losing my love letters!

I'm only having a laugh, please don't get upset - but A4 *is* a weird shape in Canada! We use 8.5" X 11", which is slightly different, just enough that it looks slightly, well, weird!

Hahah totally fair! My Hubs is living in the UK so all his documents were printed on A04, and I didn't want the application to be both in 8.5x11 and A04, so I managed to get some of that size here in Canada (Yes, I AM just that koo-koo!). Staples does not carry A04 ;D

My wife is Australian and I'm very lazy, so ours was a mix of the two sizes. Prior to this I thought A4 was 8.5X11. First time she sent me something on paper I was all like "WTF madness is this?"

Haha I had a similar revelation when none of my UK documents fit into my Canadian folders.

We really should just accept that the A01/A02/A03/ A04 paper sizes make way more sense than the American/Imperial page sizes (Letter/Legal Tabloid, like WTH?)
