Hello everyone
A supervisor from university of Regina has agreed to take me in his research group , but in one of his email he mentioned, and I am quoting him directly
“
Likely, we will be able to provide you with the financial
support from January 2023 (2023 Winter semester) if you are accepted as
a fully qualified Ph.D. student by this university.
The official full acceptance depends on your academic records and
research achievements up to date”
now I am confused by his last sentence. What does he mean by “the official full acceptance depends on your academic records and research achievements up to date”
isn’t if u meet the minimum admission criteria and professor is willing to fund u, university has no problem giving u admission?
Any one with experience in this matter where prof was willing but uni rejected the application especially from U of Regina
