Dear Wayne and all pharmacists

My application delivered 12 July 2011. But I am so confused about my education point.
Details about my education.
Intermediate 12 year
B.Pharm 4 years
Pharm D 1 year
Total no of year 17.
Can you tell me how much they gave you point of your education. What was your education?
Because some consultants are saying me they will give you 20 point if they will give me 20 point then my total score will be 66. But my consultant said me they will give you 22 point and he sent my application to CIC.
Please reply

Its a really confusing. But if your Pharma D. is counted as second bachelor degree then you will get 22 points for that . If not then you will get 20 points.

Good Luck

Mayank

Hi Siddharth,

I am not getting you clearly. Are you going to file new application ? If yes then who told you it will take 2 years ? One need to show 6 month bank statement at the time of application.

It is adviseable to stick fund in your account.

About exp. One need to have One year of Full Time exp. in NOC you are applying.

Hope this will clear you.

Regards
Mayank

so calculating my experience of 4yrs 21 points
English language 16points
age 10points
education 20points
total 67 points

so i thought need to show my experience .did you apply own or through any lawyer.

Hey,
It should not be a problem since they asked for a minimum of one year of full time continuous employment and looks you have it. You will have to keep the money in the bank account untill your process is completed and also show that money during landing time in Canada. There have been people in the forum who received a request for proof of funds statement as much as four times. I know its kind of rare but I suggest that you should keep all that there.

Good Luck!

Due to regular maintenance, CIC online services will not be available Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 2:00 a.m. EST to 6:00 a.m. EST.

Dear Siddharth,

Well first let me clear you that New applications is processing within 6-12 months.

You also email me about your registration as pharmacist done in 2010 though you completed your B.Pharma in 2006. So you should count your exp. after your registration .

As per rule of PCI & Drug controller authority of India to work as retails pharmacist one have to be registered pharmacist. So from my point your exp. is should be 1 years or more. but NOT 4 years.

Also make sure you have One year Full Time exp. as retail Pharmacist to apply.

May i know how you count your IELTS points : 16 ? Have u already appeared ? If yes then how much band you got in each module ? Which module you took ?

Do not get all in hurry.

Regards
Mayank

Dear Mayank
Please can you explain me about highlight line

'Medical doctor degrees are generally first-level university credentials, in the same way that a Bachelor of Law or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology is a first level, albeit “professional” degree
and should be awarded 20 points. If it is a second-level degree and if, for example, it belongs to a Faculty of Graduate Studies, 25 points may be awarded If a bachelor’s credential is a prerequisite to the credential, but the credential itself is still considered a first-level degree, then 22 points would be appropriate. It is important to refer to how the local authority responsible for educational institutions recognizes the credential: i.e., as a first-level or second-level or higher university credential.'

My local authority say 4 year B-pham equal to MA and MSC i also sent my local autority notification later where they mention 4year B.pharm equal to MA and MSc.
i am soo confused now.
my consultant may be guided me wrong.

Hey siddharth_pharma84,

Get married to an educated girl or may be take a language course in french or find an employer in canada so that you may get that extra points. :)

Yes, If u want to show exp. as pharmacist then i am clear on it. But yes other than it one can count exp.

So if after 2006 if you have worked for some other field then you can count.

Mayank

If i show 1 year of experience gap of 6 points . well i am single so can't claim any other points.well are you sure points of experience wont be calculated if we had worked before registration even after being graduated.
