Dear friends, my wife wants to apply for the baking and pastry arts management program at the Humber college. The duration of the course in two years (4 semesters) and the credentials provided by the college is diploma. I was wondering if she could apply for the PGWT after her graduation. Does anybody apply for the PGWT after graduation from diploma course?

So the guidelines for eligibility in link below but first might clarify what qualifcations, work experience and how will improve career prospects on return to home country all obviously important simply to get a study permit as opposed to being concerned whether will get a PGWP.

We are living in Denmark and enjoying our life here, but my wife's sisters are living in Toronto and we are planning to stay there after her graduation. So, I need to do some research to find out if the program she interested to is eligible for the PGWT or not.

You do not want to mention in your student visa application that you'll be staying in Canada after graduating

Does your wife have a background in culinary arts? Given that there are likely similar programs in Denmark and that post secondary education is free she may run into problems getting a permit. It will be evident she is not a genuine student and this has to do with immigration. There is also the issue that you may not get an SOWP. If you arrive using an ETA and apply for SOWP you may also run into problems because your wife’s course is so short.

The course duration is 2 years. She has a background in culinary arts and there is no similar course in Denmark at all.
