Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I am currently in the process of applying for a PGWP and filling out the form. I have recently amended the work conditions on my study permit and just got approved yesterday and seen the update on my portal. I have yet to receive the new study permit in the mail. I need to apply for the pgwp today because of a pending job offer requiring work authorization. The question indicating country of residence dates from - to. Should I put the date that the amendment got approved as the "from" date in the form, or the original date that the permit prior to the amendment was issued? Thank you in advance!

Since the amendment only changed the conditions on your existing study permit and didn't give you a new period of status, I would use the original date your current study permit became valid as the "From" date. The amendment updates the conditions of the same status rather than creating a brand-new period of residence.

If your amendment was approved yesterday but you haven't received the updated permit in the mail yet, you can still include the approval letter or screenshot from your IRCC account with your PGWP application, if applicable. Once the physical permit arrives, it should simply reflect the amended conditions.

Given that you have a pending job offer, it's a good idea to submit your PGWP application as soon as you're eligible. As long as your application is complete and submitted before your current status expires, you should be in a good position.
