Hi everyone!
All of my classes are online this fall which is okay as far as of eligibility for the PGWP as the government mentioned that its fine up until 31st of December of 2021. What happens if you have some fall/winter courses that are online? Does it make you ineligible since the remote learning continues past December 31st? My ISO office is confused and doesn't have an answer. That got me a little worried to be honest.

Thank you for your time and patience everyone!!
Thank you for your contribution!

Nobody knows the answer since the hope is it won’t happen. If policy Changes are needed it will happen closer to the date.
Thank you for your answer. I was wondering because if i am not mistaken, I know that even if you decided to take an online course you are still eligible for a PGWP enough to not be more than 50% of the overall duration of the program. The government specifically mentioned on their website that :

“All students who were enrolled in a PGWP-eligible program in progress in March 2020 or who started a program of study from spring 2020 up to and including the fall 2021 semester are not required to complete 50% of their program (or programs) of study in Canada. Up to 100% of their program can be completed online from outside Canada.

Time spent studying outside of Canada can be counted towards the overall length of the post-graduation work permit until December 31, 2021. Any time spent studying outside of Canada after December 31, 2021 should be deducted from the length of the post-graduation work permit.”

So on that note... I should be fine. No? Especially when I never had online classes prior to the pandemic. Basically I only had online courses during the pandemic. Since March 2020 until now, and this coming fall/winter too.

You specified that learning would continue past a December 2021 which is why I said it’s unclear what will happen past then.

Yes correct, but even in case it happens I was just explaining the actual rules of the program based of what the government states on their website. Thats why I was asking. That even in case it continues, based on what they say I should be fine no ?
