Hello all, I hope you are well. I am dealing with my situation of PGWP refusal . I submitted my application 5 days late as I could not access to school stuview and email earlier. I called in multiple times but nobody picked up. only 1 time a person picked up and told me to wait. I did not restore my study status as I didn't know I had to... this is really stupid of me. when submitting PGWP, I added a document explaining for the reason I applied late. however, I got refused as I applied for PGWP five days after I was out of status.
Due to covid, I graduated late 2 months (on June25) and received graduation letter and transcript late 1.5 months (august 4). I applied on August 5 (my study permit expired on July 31). And IRCC took 4 moths to give me back result. I have passed 90 days restoration since the confirmed program completion day was June 25. I have until January 31 to re-apply. Is there any suggestions anyone could give me? I would be really appreciative.
I emailed school to ask them to confirm for me that I received the graduation letter late and they said they would mail me back within next Monday or Tuesday. ( would this confirmation be helpful for my case?)
I had 3 consulting meetings with 3 lawyers and they all suggested to apply for temporary residence permit simultaneously with work permit. has anyone done this and succeeded? one of the lawyers suggested that my boyfriend should sponsor me as we been living together more than 2 years. this will prevent me from possibly being removed off of the application processing as I'm currently out of status. but my bf is leaving to state for work some time in January. if I go with this option, will my bf leaving to state a problem for my application?
Id be really appreciative and grateful if anyone could give me some advice and/or suggestions.
