Hello, my PGWP just got denied because I didn't submit a language test. I have it but the application didn't ask for it. I was expecting them to notify me and ask for it separate of the application but it never came and now I got denied. What do I do next?

They don't ask for additional documents as expected to submit complete application. You needed to submit with your application under Client Information sections. Reapply if you are in Canada and restore status to student (within 90 days of program completion) or leave Canada and apply if you completed program within 180 days.

If you were working, you stop and are now out of status.

Thanks for replying quickly. Do I reapply as a student first and then submit my PGWP application or do I go straight to PGWP? My student status expired last July 29.

When did you complete your program? Your study permit expires 90 days after program completion or at expiry (July 29) whichever comes first.

If my completion is when I got my transcript then it's May 1 so it's around the same time.
So you cannot restore status in Canada because more than 90 days. You should get a lawyer for further advice because you are out of status, can no longer restore status in Canada and most likely have to leave and apply outside Canada.

That sounds really bad. I know it might be a stretch but do you know where I could get contact with a lawyer?

The moderators of the forum - Cohen Immigration are lawyers who may be able to give you a free consult. Right now, you cannot work, are out of status and cannot restore status if your program ended and is dated May 1.
