Hi guys,

I applied for an extension to my PGWP application just to go on implied status so that I can continue to work in Canada. My status was expiring on the 18th of Jan, but due do Canada Post's fault, my mail reached them on the 19th of Jan. However I made the payment online a week before that and mailed my application on the same day. Have I lost my implied status? Can I legally continue to work in Canada?

Thanks

Yes, You are legally on implied status. IRCC considers the date of application, when CanadaPost receives the package (canadapost recieved stamp).

I was in the same situation. re-confirmed with my immigration lawyer. I am still on implied status though.

1. Believe both you and your lawyer are wrong. It is the date that IRCC receives the application.

Hi Master,
I think, you are good, because there is a proof that you have paid your fee in time and that explains....
