PGWP expiring in Feb & submitting LMO application this week

So here is the thing...

Right now I am on PGWP (post graduate work permit). It is only good for 8 months and will expire on February 14.

My current employer hired me last November and is willing to help me with my LMO. I didn't want to miss any paperwork so I paid an immigration consultant to help me process the application.

After all the preparation my LMO app is gonna be submitted this week.

Since I only have 1 month left before my WP expires, there is a high chance I might not get my LMO result in time. So my question is what are my options? Is it possible to apply for an extension of my WP before the expiry date without the LMO result, and submit the LMO later?

U can apply for WP extension with LMO file number..just apply week before your WP expry.. do paper application ..then you will get atleat two more month implied status ..
I am on the same situatn on implied status waitng for LMO...hoping for the best

Hi, I read your case. My friend is in the same situation. His PGWP is expiring in a weeks time. Is it better for him to apply for WP extension with the LMO file number or Visitoe status. He has already applied for BC PNP. How does this whole process afgect BC PNP.
