I am in the last year of my 2-year MSc program, and hoping to graduate in August 2024. Something urgent came up and I need to leave for my home country for 4 months. I have previously spent 1.5 months outside the country this last summer. I am NOT taking time off, and will continue to work on my thesis remotely, for which I received permission from my thesis supervisor. Since it's the last year of my MSc, there are no courses that I need to be physically present for; it's just my thesis that is remaining that I will work on remotely for those 4 months. I was wondering if the duration spent outside might cause any problems with my eligibility for a PGWP, or is it fine? Are there any other considerations that I need to be aware of? My study permit is expiring at the end of December 2024 (since my current passport was only valid until then).
