Hi Guys
I am about to finish my Master's degree in Ontario by end of August. It was a one year program so I will get one year's PGWP. My study permit and TRV are valid until December 13th.
Is it possible that I can go to India for holidays around October end, after finishing my degree and apply for a new TRV and the PGWP in Delhi itself? I can enjoy my holiday in India while my application is being processed?
The issue is that I don't want to go to India for 2 months AFTER getting the PGWP in Canada itself, because then I will be wasting 2 months of my full time work permit on holidays, instead of working and earning.

I need opinion of people who have some knowledge about it, please. Thanks

You can go to India and return if you have a multiple entry stamp on your VISA. The extension in permit you got after your course end is called "bridge extension" it is given to students basically to decide whether they wish to study more or want to work. So in that case, you can go to India and decide on your future with your parents.

Don't think you guys got my question right. Let me try again...
I will get my final confirmation letter and transcripts by end of September, so at that time I can apply for PGWP. However, my study permit and multiple TRV are valid until December 13th.
So, is it possible that I can go to India around end of October and choose to apply for my PGWP and a new TRV from Delhi, wait for 1-2 months, whatever time it takes for processing and then come back to Canada sometime in January with PGWP and a new TRV?
OR, should I apply for PGWP and TRV from Canada as soon as I can, and travel to India once I get it.

In other words, is there some sort of hassle or problem in applying for the PGWP and TRV from India, instead of while staying in Canada?

It can be risky to go back. If you want to go back make sure you have job offer from employer otherwise don't take risk.

Hi Ameet..

I am also in the same situation as were earlier

I finished by master from Ontario and my results will be declared in September 1st week, so meanwhile can I travel to India before my results appear and then apply for PGWP and visa from India which takes approx 80 days of time and return to Canada with work permit and work visa?

Thanks in advance
