Hi everyone,

I have a question and would appreciate your guidance.

I applied for the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP) in 2023. I have met the minimum income requirement from 2018 to 2024. However, for 2025, I expect to fall short by about $5–6K.

I received sponsorship approval in 2024, and all checks (including eligibility) are complete. Only comprehensive security checks have been in progress since November 2024.

Should I be concerned about not meeting the 2025 income requirement, especially since the 2025 figures are not yet published on the IRCC website?

Thanks in advance for your help.

You can be asked to prove that you still meet LlCO at any point.

Thank you for your response. I have some research on coPilot and Chatgpt and understand that IRCC usually don't asks for it again if the sponsor eligibility has passed and the requirement is usually prior 3 years to lock in date. As per GCMS notes everything is passed/cleared just comprehensive security checks in progress for my father while mother's security showing as passed.

Not sure how often IRCC asks to prove LICO after the sponsor eligibility has passed.

Fairly common to ask if only just met LICO over other years, change in family composition, job change, etc. LICO is already very low given cost of living and IRCC wants to ensure families who receive PR through PGP won’t access social & charitable services.
