Hello friends

I got my WES ECA report and my PGDBA has been treated as "two year post secondary from a non recognized Institute." However my bachelor's are equivalent to bachelors in Canada.

So do I need to include this PGDBA qualification, while filling up EE profile under education as this is not recognized? I have already included bachelor's in the EE profile.

Anyone who is in the same boat and filled up EE or received an ITA can guide me.

Hi niravk,

I just received my ECA from WES last week and have landed in the same boat as yours where my B.Tech is evaluated as equivalent to "Canadian Bachelors" while "Post Graduate Diploma" is evaluated as "One Year Post Secondary Study from a non-recognized Institution"

So with these details can I select the option under "Level of education" as "Two or more certificates, diplomas, or degrees. One must be for a program of three or more years" and claim for 119 points out of 140 in this category

or

should I select the option of "Bachelor's degree OR a three or more year program at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute" and be eligible for 112 points only out of 140 in this category.

Could you please share your experience on this

Based on this ECA report, you can only claim Bachelors.

I think you should include PGDBA as well in your EE profile but while selecting the ECA credential assessment you should mention only bachelors as the highest qualification. Though you won't get extra points for it, still not mentioning about it is a misrepresentation and you might have trouble in the final application process if you get an ITA where you will have to give details on your personal history and work history since the age of 18.

As long as it is not recognized and valid, it doesn't matter to CIC whether you include it or not in your EE profile. Though in the cover (explanation) letter for OOPNP I did make a passing mention of it.

Hello, So I'd like to know if you did or did not submit your profile with the non-recognized diploma. Appreciate help as I'm in the same boat!
