Hello,
I am going to apply for PGD in University of Saskatchewan . Can any1 tell.. if i do 1 Year PGD in mechanical engineering and later i want to pursue Master thn wht wub b itz duration.and duration of work visa for which i wud b eligible .
And should i contact any graduate faculty member to admit me in PGD? as i have applied in Masters and still there is no revert from universities.

Universities take time for Master's admission ,email them and ask them about ur application status. For two year or more studies u will get three year work permit for less than two Years u will get work permit equal to ur study period.

Hi,

1. With 1 year PGD + 1 year Master Degree, you will get a '3 year PGWP'.

Sir i think i did some mistakes in application.
1. I did not mention my application preference.
2. I did not contact any faculty member to admit in any program.
I applied in 3 universities for M.Eng course
1) university of alberta(sep 2012) 2) university of victoria and manitoba (may2012).

Hi,

1. It would be your choice between PGD/Master degree, I am always in favor of a Master degree.
2. After a PGD from a Canadian school, you will remain an international student for admission (with no new requirement of IELTS). Domestic status is restricted to PR/Citizens and nationals of few selected countries.
