Hey, I have some questions about filing out the personal experience section of the immigration forms.

The question asks about background and personal history.

My fiancé was a home maker for 2 years. She did not work. But she did do some travel in that time. There are a lot of short trips on planes maybe about 10. Im not sure what we need to do to fill this part out. If it’s like a less then 1 week to visit somewhere do we have to include all that. I feel like we need to add a letter of support to explain what she was doing as a homemaker because I’m worried that’s not enough information.

Her passport is new, so all the travel stamps are not going to be submitted since they are on the old passport.

- For the time your partner was a home maker, you will still put this period in the employment history part mentioning unemployed. You certainly can give details in the explanation letter, but people do stay unemployed or as homemakers and that is fine with IRCC.
- With regards to travel, anything outside of the country of residence need to be mentioned, even if it is just for a day. You can use as many copies of the form as needed.

Thanks for the information. I’ve just heard that if there is some sort of misrepresentation on this it could be immediately rejected. I want to make sure I’m providing the most honest and accurate description and detail to show them exactly what was going on so there are no inconsistencies.

Just be careful in filling out forms, re-read everything 100s of times, give additional details in the form a letter of explanation and that is it.
