Permit - WP-EXT / Permis - PT-PROR

Hi,

My spouse had applied for OWP along with her PR with me as sponsor. Yesterday she received a request for a Medical Exam and today she got an email with In-canada approval letter. The approval letter states the permit type as -- Permit - WP-EXT / Permis - PT-PROR

Is this for the OWP or something else?

Her OWP is valid only for 6 months. Is this restricted due to the Medical test request? Will we be able to renew the OWP after submitting the medical test?

The approval appears to be for a work permit extension. As to why it was granted for only 6 months, you haven't provided enough information. Does her passport expire in 6 months? Is she from a 'medical required' country?

Her passport expires in 2025 but she is from Pakistan so I am assuming thats a 'medical required' country.

But after 6 months, can the permit be renewed?

There is nothing, in the abstract, that would prevent her from applying to renew the permit.
