I have been sitting on "In Process" since Oct 11th. Called IRCC yesterday and the agent just gave me the details that I see on ecas. My file seems to be just sitting there. IRCC needs to revamp this whole process - ridiculous!
Just saw my ecas updated a few minutes ago to "Decision Made." After clicking on "Decision Made", there is still the usual 3 line status with 3rd line reading as we "started processing on Oct. 12, 2018". Candoit, our processing times are almost the same. Yours should update soon.

My question is this - is there a chance still for secondary review at this stage? I am only asking because our stay in Canada has not been continuous with only 790 days of stay in most recent 5 years.

Status would have not been changed to Decision Made if it was secondary revie.

I applied August 24th, haven't gotten AOR yet. I think they'll be an update early November, takes anywhere from 3 to 4 months for AOR and processing to begin
My app reached on Aug 1, still haven't heard anything. Early November is unlikely, I'd say if you got in early August you'll get an AoR in early Nov. If it's the 24th, it's likely to be late Nov or even Dec.

Agree that CIC needs to get it's act together. They look like they're running on skeleton staff or just run extremely inefficiently. People who have similar status in other countries have a much more streamlined process (online applications, real time updates etc.).

Ok, I hope it's late November, I have a family vacation booked Dec 12th, tickets already bought.

My timeline:
  1. We received your application for a permanent resident card on July 9, 2018.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on October 10, 2018.
  3. We started processing your application on October 10, 2018.
  4. Your Permanent Resident card was sent by mail on October 19, 2018.
  5. Got PR card in mailbox today October 23, 2018.
Thanks all for your help and sharing of critical information. Thanks to Canada Post for delivering the card even with partial strike on.

By the way it is very critical to make sure you keep a ledger of entry exit. The dates need to match for every country visit. I had almost 350+ days of travels outside Canada with 50+ entry/exit stamps.

For US visits and entry/exit records, you can also get your travel history information on I94 website:

Don't worry.
Mistakes do happen.
U can send a letter explaining it with quoting ur UCI number. Or u just wait for their reply if they feel necessary.
Did u mention dates after April 30, 2018? If yes then I think they will understand.
