My family has submitted our first permanent resident card renewals. Today, my 10-year-old son got a letter requesting proof of residency in Canada for the period that is our first six months of permanent residency. They asked for complete pages of his passport and "personal immigration entry/exit record or movement certificate issued by the countries where you have travelled."
We travel frequently (once or twice a week) between the US and Canada, almost always for day trips.
His passport expired and we had to send it in to get a new one, so we don't have a passport for him for those first months. Even if we did, the pages would be blank, as we don't show it at the border (just our Nexus and/or permanent resident cards).
Will the US have/send us a record of his entries? We have them for both adults, but we did not request them for the children.
Thank you.
