Hi Leon "or anyone who can help me out this stress",
I landed with my wife and my 9 month-old boy in Canada in May 2011 and we got our PR card in August 2011 .as we were newcomers and I had no job we found the living condition hard for our baby boy and ourselves. so after taking my first Canadian Board exam we had to return to my country in September 2011 .I successfully passed the first one and I registered with my second Part of my Canadian board exam at the first available date and I took it outside of Canada in April 2012 and passed it as well.My baby boy has grown up now and I have registered to take my final exam in Canada in 2013. However we Have decided to return to Canada on May 2013 and work and live.the thing is that being away from Canada has worried us that the immigration officer may not let us in at the airport. I cannot sleep a wink at nights. what should I do ?
Thank you for your reply in advance.
P.S. I have also filed my Tax file for the past year in Canada.

So technicaly u were away from canada for only 1yr and few months. Then why you are worried just relax they, will not bother because your pr card is valid till 2016 I,believe. They only, give lecture to people like us lol as I overstayed for almost 3 and half yr. So just relax come to canada, start your life here n hopefully things will be better for you this time as your babay is also little older n you also have almost completed your exams. N with grace of God after 3yrs u will be applying for your citizenship. Best of luck.

You only have to be in Canada for 730 days in your first 5 years as a PR and any rolling 5 year period after that. That means you can stay outside for up to 1095 days (3 years) without losing your PR. You left September 2011. You are planning on coming back May 2013. That means you will have been outside for 1 year and 8 months. You really have no reason to be worried about that.

Thank you very much indeed. you really put my mind at ease.what a relief! wish you all the best.
