Period for Study Permit

Hi All

I will take a 1 year course and I would like to know if my study permit is valid exactly 12 months or IRCC will give some buffer like 13 or 14 months so I will have time to pack and leave Canada?

Also, if my spouse has SOWP, the valid period will be the same as my study permit, right?

They usually give you two extra months
