I have a question. Is the Background check done only for the ppl who applied after June, 2010 (MI 2) or for MI (i.e. Pre Juners) also?

Have you heard of anyone who has received verification calls after MR?

As per my analysis, the background checks are being done for MI 2 and 3. Non of the MI applicants seem tohave got background checks after MR, nor there were any interviews for them.

hi frnd i want to share something regarding my case.......
my application was refused in fab 2012 by saying that for the category u have applied for NOC 4119 or something u r not getting suffitient points for that NOC rather i did'nt apply for that NOC (cheff or something hotel manager)my noc was not tat.then again i send them letter for correction and they send me letter regarding reopen my applicaation on 26 june 2012.and on nov 8 2012 i got MR,PP,RPRF and medical done on 14 Nov n send full pkg on 26th n recieved by them on 28th....n now waiting ...........

Hi Everyone,

Just a analysis of the timelines of the post of few of the forum members disclose few trends:

1 - Background check is being done after MR for applicant who applied after June 2010.
2 - Applicants who applied after June 2010 tend to get their visa within 3 months of the medicals.
3 - Issuance of visa is faster in other VO than NDVO.
4 - There is a downward trend of issuing visa since September 2012 even for applicants who applied after June 2010, may because the visa quota is exhausted.

From a reliable source I got to know that visa quotas are updated on 15th of December every year. So lets hope that all those who are waiting for their visa post medicals and sending of PP and RPRF since June 2012, will get their visas by January. There is a long holiday at CHC so things will be slow for 2 weeks.

Hope this post helps all to relight their hopes.

Very helpful, thanks for this info. My family and I did our meds on 24th Oct and sent our PCC, RPFP, updated docs the following week (they were recieved on 8th Nov). We have been waiting for the next step, hopefully this will happen very soon.

i am no one to actually say who is gonna go first. My hunch would be that they are processing all applications MI 1, 2 and 3 all together and trying to finalize as many as possible before 2nd January, 2013, i.e. before the MI 4 begin. All of us who are in the final stage, i.e. done with MR and sent all doc and RPRF should get their visa by early next month.

I was going through Wikipedia and saw that each year some 240000-265000 visas are generated to immigrants including 2012.

Therefore there should be ample visa quotas for each and every on of us and more....

With this info I breathe a sigh of relief! Atleast we can be sure that there is no sword hanging on our heads now.

If anyone from MI 1 gets a background check call, please update it on the forum.

You need to check with the bank from where you have taken the DD...

Sent all the docs to CHC last evening. Sent through FedEx. The package was delivered at 12:30pm today. However, in the 'signed for' status on the FedEx website it says "Co. Stamp". It doesn't mention the name of the person who accepted it. Is this how it is? If I remember it well some people have mentioned the name of the person who received it. Could someone throw some light on this please.?

My bank i.e. Yes Bank said that I will have to enquire from CHC about the encashment. I wonder how some people on this forum got to know about the DD encashment date! Even I would like to find out when it gets encashed.

You need to check with the bank from where you have taken the DD...

INCREDIBLE, though it seems,how come the DD issuing branch(YES Bank,in ur case) is not cooperating with u for providing this simple information.After all,they must have issued DD on their own branch or its agent(Correspondent) in New Delhi , which has to be essentially a member of local inter -Bank clearing House. Callous approach of the bank towards its customer( if u are holding a/c with them) is uncalled for.
U may ask the bank for the required information in writing,even or alternatively ask them to provde u the tel. # of the paying bank for helping u out to contact them(DD paying bank/branch) dirtectly.Ur bank cannot deny u for this ligitimate information, keeping in view its importance for u.
Hope, this should help solve ur problem.

Dont worry, my package was received by a security guard. Thats because it reached on a Saturday. Its cool. they have received it and will send a receiving letter soon.

Ask them again. I went to a SBI branch today and got the information of the DD. This branch was not even the one I got the DD made from. Am sure the YES bank people will have the info on ur DD.

We have received MR notification on 8th Nov, 2012.

1. They have asked to submit the Original passports, medicals & original educational certifiates. Iam bit confused whether we have to submit the original certificates of my spouse becoz he has got updated educational certificate from the college presently undergoing EMBA clases. Please advise whether we need to submit the latest education letter will suffice the requirement or original certificates has to be submitt.

Sir/Madam,

Cluase three,on page ,3 under the heading" Documents Checklist'' of MR letter is self explanatory.u have got to submit original copies of mark sheets,certificate(S),supported by a letter from the institute stating present course of studies.
Trust this should suffice.
