Hi,

I wonder if you can advise me. I have been offered a job, but the offer states I will not be able to join the pension plan until 2 years of being in the company. In th UK it is a legal requirement for every employer to offer a pension to their employees.

Please advise on this?

It is the company pension plan, a lot of companies don't even have pension plans. You will have to contribute to the Canada Pension Plan (Gov't) as the well as the employer. You can contribute a % of your earnings to a Registered Retirement Settlement Plan, which is tax deductable.
