PCR Test on connecting Flights

Hi,

I will be flying SG - Japan - Canada. I just to check if i still need to take PCR test in Japan.
My pcr test in SG will still be within the 72 hours window.
I got confused coz my understanding is that i don't need to but few threads on this forum said it is needed.

Thank you for confirming my understanding... anxiety is causing me to second guess myself .

I also watched some vlogs and they only ask for the negative result test in transit/Japan when boarding.

your pcr test should be within 72 hours of the departure time from japan, not singapore. do not make this mistake. if I’m not wrong, you should be flying AC004 from tokyo-narita. so take your pcr only from 7pm 4 days before your flight

Yes correct, i also talk to AC customer support and they confirm that the SG PCR test will be valid as long as it is within the 72 hours windows to the departure time of the japan - canada flight.
