Hi Guys,

Need help. My husband's PCC got rejected because he did not have a address proof of current address. We have shown my permanent address as his current address and submitted my passport copy and marriage certificate. However, Passport guys rejected it stating that my passport does not have spouse name mentioned and they won't consider marriage certificate. They have updated as address proof required. We have got his aadhar updated. What is the next process?? do we need to reapply for PCC ???

What address does your husband's passport have? The two of you can apply separately and use your husband's passport address for his application.

Also, how did you update his aadhaar card without proof of his current address? I don't know much about how adhaar works (haven't lived in India since 2011). ;D

You can show aadhar card as his proof. You could have shown his bank passbook too. Once you show them the proof, they will start processing your file.

His permanent address is of Pune while we live in Gurgaon and My permanent address is also of Gurgaon. I got a rent agreement made for aadhar. I cant show bank passbook as his accounts are with International banks which passport office does not consider according to thier website. It has to be from a public or private nationalized bank.

My question is now how do i give his address proof? Do we take an appointment date again?

The best is to open up an account with private nationalized bank - it will take three to five working days time followed by which you can apply for Passport.

Hope this will work.

Or you can register your rent agreement with Sub-Registrar in Gurgaon and use the rent agreement as proof.
