PCC @ VFS Canada

Hey folks,

For PCC, I was looking at the check list provided by Indian consulate (VFS Canada) and it says you need submit your ORIGINAL passport for the same. However I was checking on this forum and found that when applied walk in, their passport was handed back to them right away after verifying it over there. Anyone would like to share their experience?

Don't take chances. If you are lucky, they will return the passport to you right away.
But they can hold it back for the entire process and return it back only with the PCC.

If it is applied through consulate, there is a chance that it will return to you. But Indian consulate no more accepts PCC applications, all through VFS only (depends on your Jurisdictions also). In VFS we have to submit the passport there, it will not return to you until the process is completed.

I applied for PCC in November at VFS Toronto. They took my passport and couriered it along with the PCC after 5 weeks.
