Hi Experts,
As part of the Canadian PR you're required to submit PCC from all countries where you have stayed for 6+ months.
I was in the US last year and I have already got the FBI Clearance from US for myself and spouse.
Regarding the Indian PCC, my wife's passport was last renewed in India for which there was a police verification from a Police Station.
Regarding my passport, it was renewed while I was in US, and apparently there was a police verification at my hometown. My father confirmed a police constable came home for a visit.
However when I tried to request a PCC from PSK in India, they told me they can't issue a PCC since one field in their system wasn't updated. Apparently that field says Police Check completed Yes or No.
My wife's said Yes - so her letter was generated instantly.
Now I am in Canada. I plan to visit BLS or Indian Consulate soon for getting the PCC.
My question is if that field in their system is still not updated - will the consulate refuse to give me the PCC?
What are options in that case?
Thanks,
VK
