Hi,

I am planning to apply for Canadian FSW Visa in July 2012. I have a question regarding Police Clearance Certificate.

I was born in a small town. Was shifted to a city after six days. Since then I am living in the city.

My National ID Card shows that town address as my permanent address and the city address as current address.

My passport shows that town name as my birth place.

My birth certificate is from the town.

Do I need to get police clearance certificate from the city or the town? I mean which address do I need to have on the PCC?

Regards,

Dude, PCC is for country, town/city does not matter if it is same country. If they are not, if they are different, like HK and Mainland China, then you will need from the current city you are living at.

remember this: PCC is needed for all countries where you have lived for more than 6 months, technically that town does not fall under this category

However, if you have to produce one, i.e. if VO asks for it, be prepared and learn how to obtain one from that town too. If possible get one and send it. As I always say, more relevant information is always better.
